The zebras of the subspecies Burchell zebras from southern Africa are striped in an unusual pattern. The hippos can be seen swimming in the water in their building. For the giraffes, a new, large facility is currently being built (status 2010) (2023: Meanwhile, the great giraffe park is finished).
